The Thrifty Bride: Easy Peasy Center Pieces

Let's be real for a second: I am not that great at DIY projects. I want to be so bad, but they usually don't turn out so great. So, if you are reading this and you are thinking "theres no way I could make that!" good news! If I can do it you can do it.

Last weekend was my friend's wedding shower. I was put in charge of decorating, which is my favorite part of wedding showers. I was trying to think of cute center piece options that didn't break the bank, and this is what I came up with! The box of flowers I used makes 3 center pieces, and I am so in love with how they turned out!

Let's get this thang started!

Here's whatcha need for this fun project!

- 3 Wooden candle sticks

- 100 Fake flowers (I got these super duper cheap on Amazon - link below)

- Spray paint

- 3 Foam floral balls

- Hot glue gun

The colors for the shower were blue, silver, and white. So I started off by taking some wooden candle sticks I got on Amazon (here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01LYUVMNU/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o08_s02?ie=UTF8&psc=1) and painted them silver.

Next, I took foam floral balls and hot glued them to the candle sticks. Take your time and use a decent amount of glue to make sure they will stay.

Next, I took some fake flowers (I got mine here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007OVCTD4/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o08_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1) and cut the stems leaving about an inch of stem.

Then I started sticking the flowers in! I started at the very top of the ball and worked my way down on either side in a line. I placed the flowers about two inches apart, just enough for the ball to look full. After I had my line I started staggering flowers on either side until everything was covered.

And TADA! Beautiful DIY center pieces!
